Parish Pastoral Council: By virtue of the Code of Canon Law 536, the diocesan bishop may require the establishment of Parish Pastoral Councils, which are to be presided over by the pastor and be composed of the Christian faithful and those who assist him in the pastoral care of the parish.
Parish Finance Council: “The Christian faithful are obliged to assist with the needs of the Church so that the Church has what is necessary for divine worship, for the works of the apostolate and of charity and for the decent support of ministers.” (canon 222, §1) The pastor is the legal representative in the juridical affairs of the parish and the administrator of parochial ecclesiastical goods (cf. canon 532). He is the president of the parish finance council, which assists him in the administration of parochial goods. (cf. canon 1284 § 1)
Parish Facilities Committee: The primary objective of the Facility Committee is to oversee all aspects of the Parish’s facilities in order to maintain, protect, and enhance the value of the parish capital assets. The Committee will also develop a capital plan which improves the facilities and enhances the community use. The Facilities Committee is a consultative body to the Pastor.
